The Icematic cleaning kit is used to make ice machines sanitary. It is useful to avoid the formation of microorganisms inside the tank and essential to offer the public a product that complies with health regulations. The kit contains citric acid.
How does Icematic cleaning for ice machines work?
The ice machine cleaning procedure takes place through the use of a water + citric acid solution. The instructions and the safety data sheet are provided inside the package and are listed below.
How often should you clean?
To overcome the problems caused by the hardness of the feed water and therefore the formation of impurities on the parts and components in contact with water, the machine
has been equipped with a "Self Cleaning" function. This function, thanks to the cleaning action of a specific product, a sachet of powder product and the dosing bottle,
it allows to keep the machine clean and sanitized from limestone and encrustations. To ensure good cleaning of the ice maker, it is advisable to carry out the washing cycle at least 3-4 times a year depending on the hardness of the supply water.
What procedure should Icematic cleaning be used with?
Turn off the machine. Remove all ice from the container. Using the specific product and the plastic bottle, prepare the solution by dissolving the powder in warm water (max. 40 ° C) according to the quantities shown in the attached table. Mix everything making sure that there are no lumps. Switch on the machine by pressing the ON / OFF button and simultaneously holding down the RESET button (fig. A). To press the RESET button, use a plug with a diameter suitable for the hole on the control panel. Both LEDs flash quickly. Open the deposit door, wait for the tray to return to the closed position. Insert the cannula into the bottle along its entire length in the hole provided (see fig. C) and drain all the previously prepared mixture, pressing the bottle with your hands. Close the door and press the Reset button again to start the WASH cycle. Once the washing cycle has started, the flashing of the LEDs will be slower. During the washing function, rinse the deposit thoroughly. The duration of the washing cycle is approximately 3 hours. Once the anti-limescale function has started, the washing cycle cannot be interrupted. In the event of a power failure, the machine resumes from where it stopped.
At the end of the wash and rinse cycle the machine restarts in the cold cycle. For all extraordinary maintenance interventions and / or which involve the adjustment and / or replacement of components, always contact an authorized service center.
